UN Member States recognise dementia as a leading NCD

After two years of dedicated and persistent advocacy by ADI, dementia will, for the first time, be formally recognised within the new UN Political Declaration on noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and mental health, as a leading NCD.

Regional Director for Asia Pacific meets with Indonesian Minister of Health, participates in Age with Rights Global Rally 2026

ADI’s Regional Director for the Asia Pacific, DY Suharya, participated in two critical events in February, attending a high-level meeting with the Indonesian Minister of Health and representatives from the University of New South Wales to discuss the creation of a regional dialogue on ‘dementia and the care economy within the Asia Pacific region’; and later in the month partaking in a virtual panel organised by Age Knowble for the Age with Rights Global Rally 2026.
